Design Studio Options are the choices you need to make to “finish” your home in the style most suited to you. Some of these “finishes” are flooring (tile or hardwood), cabinetry, paint colour, appliances, and hardware, among others. You will be sent a letter from our Design Studio once we approach the “finish” stage of your home’s construction. Our Design Consultants will then schedule an appointment with you at least one month after your letter is sent out and we highly recommend you visit the Design Studio during “browsing” hours to get a better sense of the options available to you.
Once you have completed your Colour Chart at the Design Studio, you really do not need to do anything until it is time for your inspection of your home while we continue on the balance of construction by implementing your Design Studio Options into your home.
Each floor plan includes a substantial number of standard features as listed on the standard features list available from our Presentation Centre. Please review this information carefully to prevent any misunderstandings about which features are included in the base price of your new home. If you have any questions, your sales agent / administrator will be able to assist you.
Based on feedback from our home buyers, The Remington Group has developed a list of the most popular upgrades that are available for the home plans in your new community. This list and the current pricing of these items are available from your Design Consultant. This list is updated regularly based on feedback from our clients and fluctuations in costs.
Our Upgrades list is organized by components: cabinet, electrical, floor covering, plumbing, and so on. To include an upgraded item in your new home, simply list the item on your Colour Chart.
The Remington Group provides you with a Design Studio book to help you make the selections for the choices you need to make. Schedule time to visit both our Design Studio and our Model Suites to give you a realistic visualization of what is possible. Plan to finalize your selections within 24 hours of your Colour Appointment at the Design Studio. Your prompt completion of these selections helps prevent delays caused by backorders.
You are welcome to bring cushions or swatches to showrooms to coordinate colours. View colour samples in both natural and artificial light to get an accurate impression of the colour. Variations between samples and actual material installed can occur. This is because of the manufacturer’s colouring process (dye lots) and the fact that over time, sunlight and other environmental factors affect the samples. Some colours will appear different when seen in a large area as opposed to the sample.
If a selection you make turns out to be unavailable, we will contact you and request that you make a different selection within 5 business days. Because so many choices are offered, The Remington Group is unable to predict when a particular manufacturer or supplier may discontinue any particular item. We regret any inconvenience this causes. Similarly, materials readily available when your home is built may not be available in years to come if replacements are needed.
